The Allamanda Garden Club of North Port, Florida awards annual scholarships to college juniors or seniors in an undergraduate program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, as well as graduate or doctoral students pursuing degrees in horticulture-related fields*. (College sophomores are eligible as they will be entering their junior year the following fall.)

This scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to students attending a college/university anywhere in the United States. Preference will be given to students who are residents of North Port, Port Charlotte, Englewood or Venice, Florida.

In addition, the following guidelines will be considered:
1. A junior or senior in an undergraduate program, graduate or doctoral student at the time of the application
2. Registered as a full-time student and actively pursuing a degree in a horticulture-related field*
3. Excellence in academic and scholastic performance
4. Participation in extracurricular, leadership and research activities relating to horticulture
5. Participation in university and community service
6. Demonstrated commitment to the horticulture science profession and related career fields
7. Related horticultural experiences

Applicants will be judged on the following:

Aptitude in the field of horticulture
Academic record
Avocational interests
