Applicants should be Sarasota and Manatee County students with demonstrated leadership potential and accepted for admission into New College of Florida for the Fall of 2020.

Requirements for the Barancik Scholarship include:
·An offer of admission to New College for the Fall 2020 semester
·Current attendance or graduation from a Sarasota or Manatee County high school or college, or current or recent residence in Sarasota or Manatee County
·Eligibility for Florida resident tuition
·US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident Alien status, or eligible non-citizen status
·Eligibility for need-based aid as determined by the FAFSA
A completed FAFSA form is required to verify eligibility for this renewable, four-year, need-based scholarship. Your total financial aid package cannot exceed the total cost of attendance.
Renewal of this scholarship is subject to on-time satisfactory completion of academic work according to the New College Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Purposes Policy.
An application for admission must be completed by May 1, 2020. You must first be an applicant for admission to be invited to apply for this scholarship program. Deadline for receipt of all items – admission application materials, FAFSA, Barancik Scholarship application materials (including essay): May 15, 2020.
